Q: How long does a facelift last?

A: Before answering that question, it’s important to know what a “facelift” actually is. Facelift is a general term that includes operations ranging from a little skin removal all the way to operations that move the deep muscles and tissues in the neck and face. Facelift longevity is also based on any person’s skin elasticity. Generally, a facelift should last several years, though it may last a shorter time.

Dr. Josh Korman, M.D., is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has been a member of the clinical faculty of Stanford University for 15 years.
