![]() Staying blond has taken a toll on the texture and shine of my hair. I would now describe it as course and sort of dull in its natural state. It is probably mousey blond with white streaks in its real natural state, too, but I haven’t seen the real color since I was in college. And since I don’t intend to go back to über-natural hair, I am always trying products that add shine without reducing volume. The one that works for me is Frederic Fekkai Technician Glaze “soin brillant couleur.” It claims to lock in color and add shine. The color part I can’t attest to; the shine part, absolutely. The only warning in using this product: a few drops go a long way. Apply too much and your hair will look greasy. Also, I stay away from the roots when applying it and focus on the ends and midsection of my hair. I have hair past my shoulders and use an amount a little less than a dime every day. I have tried other shine products, but this one works the best for me. The 4.2-oz bottle lasts over six months, costs $20 and can be purchased in many retail outlets including Sephora and www.sephora.com.
