The Problem
I have cellulite. It congregates at the top of my thighs and sort of drips down my legs. I have tried many non-surgical solutions to lessen the cottage cheesiness. I have exercised, massaged and slathered cream on my legs for years. I keep hoping that science combined with capitalist greed will lead to a solution to this problem in my lifetime. I constantly seek out articles about cellulite and cellulite reduction. My brother is works in a bio-tech company that is trying to solve this problem. I have put myself on the list for first human trials, which have not taken place yet. I think you are getting the picture (without a real picture - which needs that?) that cellulite, my cellulite in particular, really, really bugs me.
Then a few months ago I read two interesting and positive product reviews in a beauty magazine about new anti-cellulite toning creams. I tried each with great anticipation.
The Products
1. BodyShape by Hydroderm (about $40) I tried BodyShape first for two months. I followed the instructions precisely. Each day, two times a day, I massaged the cream into my legs. And, drum roll ... NOTHING. NO CHANGE.
2. Slim Shape+ by Estee Lauder (about $50). I then waited a couple of weeks and went through the same procedure with the Estee Lauder's Slim Shape+. This one I only tried for six weeks before I gave up. Again, NOTHING, NO CHANGE.
The Verdict
Save your money. These products just didn't work for me. Maybe there are others that give different results; if so, I'd love to know about them and I think many other women would too. In the meantime, I'll keep seeking and trying. There's a new report of a laser treatment that may work. Stay tuned.
