How About Toothbrush Sanitizers?

Q:  Do toothbrush sanitizers really work?

A:    Although there is no evidence that toothbrush sanitizers have decreased the spread of disease, they certainly don't hurt. Always use a product cleared by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), so that you know that what they claim to be tue has been cleared. You may also soak your toothbrush in an antibacterial mouth wash, which can also reduce the bacterial count. Always rinse the toothbrush well after use and be sure to remove any visible food particles. Replace the tooth brush if you've been ill, and never store it in a sealed container.
