Look Good While Doing Good with PeaceTags®!

PeaceTags® were created by the daughter of a veteran.

Heartbroken over reports of the horrific physical, emotional and spiritual injuries suffered by service people and civilians in war, Fredda Golden wanted to help. She wanted to create something lasting and beautiful; something that women would love and want to share with family and friends. She created a “philanthropic product” called PeaceTags®.

These meaningful necklaces reflect words of peace, many from some of the world’s greatest peace advocates.   They provide a way for peacemaker’s voices to be heard in today’s complex and troubled world. They transform the “dog-tag” shape, traditionally used to identify fallen soldiers into a symbol of hope, care and peace.

PeaceTags® build bridges across the divides of religion, politics, and culture!  They beautifully demonstrate that sages and creative thinkers from many backgrounds have spoken of peace.

They inspire people and provide a mission everyone can rally around: to compassionately heal the wounds of war and work to ignite peace in our hearts, in our homes and in our world!

PeaceTags®, run by volunteers, donates 100% net proceeds (after taxes and expenses) to non-profit partners.

The Fisher House Foundation (www.fisherhousevaps.org) provides compassionate shelter for the families of American troops and veterans undergoing lengthy medical treatment and rehabilitation.  Their motto is “a family’s love is the best medicine”.  They provide a nurturing “home away from home” for those who have sacrificed so much.

Voices: The Education Project (www.voicesinwartime.org) introduces into classrooms the writings of veterans and others profoundly affected by war.  Through creative expression in the arts students conceive of a more compassionate and peaceful world.

At their core, PeaceTags® are about the power of simple words and ideas to change the world, one person at a time!
